Dialogues for Grief and Action: The National Day of Remembrance and Action on Violence Against Women

On Friday, December 6, 2024, the University of Toronto will join communities across Canada to honour the lives of the 14 women killed at Montreal’s École Polytechnique in 1989. Join us in-person at the St. George campus for this annual memorial and reflection.

To mark the 35th anniversary of this devastating act of misogyny, we will join together in collective grief as we share a meal, remember those who were killed, and look towards a better future. This event will include a musical tribute, an awards presentation, a memorial led by the Faculty of Applied Science and Engineering, and facilitated roundtable discussions with your colleagues, classmates, and friends.
