In this episode of Built2Wander, we set out for Lake Tahoe to experience the 70th annual Jeepers Jamboree and finally put our new Jeep LJ build to the test off-road.

The Rubicon Trail is iconic amongst the Jeep community, and is often recognized as the pinnacle of all off-road trails. It’s a bucket list trail and the ultimate proving ground for even the most capable of Jeep builds. After last year’s trip on the annual Jeepers Jamboree, we knew we had to come back to experience it again.

Having just finished the rebuild on our Jeep Wrangler LJ a few weeks prior, this was the perfect time and place to get it out on the trail and find out just how well the custom build from 3D Off-Road would perform.

We cover our trip from Denver, Colorado to Georgetown, CA with the Samuel LJ being towed by a brand new Ford Superduty provided by Phil Long Ford of Denver. After arriving to Tahoe, we unload the LJ and head for the Rubicon Trailhead. Once on the trail, we do our best to take every hard line we can find in an attempt to discover the limits of our new LJ build. We also cover some of the awesome benefits of attending the Jeepers Jamboree.
