Car ads, especially those that air during the Super Bowl, typically position driving as something that enables freedom and promotes patriotism. (See the Jeep ad starring Harrison Ford for just one example.) What if an ad for cycling turned that idea on its head and showed the truth? Who's really more free? People beholden to traffic, gas prices, and the high cost of owning and maintaining a car or those who are able to choose another way?

On a recent episode of The War on Cars podcast, we asked listeners what an ad for cycling as transportation might look like. This is one idea.
