• How to draw the Eiffel Tower in oblique perspective and have a low-angle view ?

In this video drawing exercise, you will discover how to break down the structure of the Eiffel Tower into 3 simple geometric volumes, particularly a large cube as a base of the structure (first level of the tower) and on which another cube is placed, more small (second level or floor of the tower). On the latter stands an elongated and pointed pyramid (third level of the tower). All the same, at the top of the tower, another very small cube which represents the platform in which there is an exhibition space (wax statues) and a circulation space at a height of 276 meters and viewing angles of 360° view of Paris city. Breaking down the tower structure into 3 parts makes it easier for you to correctly plan your construction lines. In other words, the frame (which goes into depth) of the structure of the Eiffel Tower is oriented towards your observation level (the horizon line) which exists near the base of the tower (a higher level). As a result, all the vanishing lines converge towards two vanishing points (VP1 & VP2) placed, of course, on the horizon line.
For information, the designer is sitting on Quai Jacques Chirac (75007 Paris, France). A distance of 100 meters separates it from the Eiffel Tower, which is 330 meters high (including the antennas) and which is beautifully adorned by the Olympic rings during the Paris 2024 Olympic Games.

Dans cet exercice de dessin en vidéo, vous allez découvrir comment décomposer la structure de la tour Eiffel en 3 volumes géométriques simples particulièrement un grand cube comme une base de la structure (premier niveau de la tour) et sur lequel se pose un autre cube plus petit (deuxième niveau ou étage de la tour). Sur ce dernier se pose une pyramide allongée et pointue (troisième niveau de la tour). Tout de même, au sommet de la tour, un autre très petit cube qui représente la plate-forme dans laquelle existe un espace d’exposition (statues de cire) et un espace de circulation à une hauteur de 276 mètres et angles de vue de 360° sur la ville de Paris. La décomposition de la structure de la tour en 3 parties, vous facilite à projeter correctement vos lignes de constructions. Autrement dit, la charpente (qui entre en profondeur) de la structure de la tour Eiffel s’oriente vers votre niveau d’observation (la ligne d’horizon) qui existe auprès de la base de la tour (un niveau plus élevé). Ce qui résulte, toutes les lignes de fuite se convergent vers deux points de fuite (PF1 & PF2) placés, bien évidemment, sur la ligne d’horizon.
