The backdrop:
On Bill Burr's Monday Morning podcast, he always takes in and reads e-mails that comes in from his listeners that either trash him/ask for his advice etc. etc. This time; Bill Burr got an e-mail from a listener who apparently had a problem with Bill's past statements about Religion... Bill Burr and his friend Paul Virzi (another good stand-up comedian) address this guy and their own thoughts on Religion... (At the beginning of the video, he is finishing up reading off this listener's e-mail)

I love Bill Burr, he's hands down my top 3 favorite comedians for a variety of different reasons. I follow Bill Burr's MM podcast weekly and when I was listening to this part of the podcast while commuting I was like "YOOOOOO IT WENT DOWN JUST NOW" because honestly no one could have explained it better than these two did. I take the same belief that Paul Virzi has on Religion... Which is the BELIEF that there is a higher power, but I simply don't know nor can I prove these powers exist. I just believe it, simple as that. The fact that I don't go to Church every Sunday nor do I read the "how to be a good X-religion follower" book should NOT cause other "believers" to look down on me and scrutinize me for my actions and try and tell me how I should live.

Anyway, I wanted to share this with you guys because this speaks almost directly to my standing on Religion. If you don't listen to the MM podcast and have about an hour of free time at some point every week (whether you're commuting or anything along those lines) I'd highly recommend this podcast. You may be laughing for seemingly no reason in public and get all sorts of grills, but I'd say its worth it.

There are many people out there who look down on you/try and give you crap because of what actions you do (or don't take) while being a follower of a Religion and then have the nerve to get upset with you about it or attempt to cast you off as an idiot.

Whew, sorry... I had to get that off my chest, cuz' its been there for awhile. How do you feel about Religion/Bill Burr's and Paul Virzi's statements and thoughts in this podcast?

I'm gonna go get me some damn Apple Juice now.
