Indian Railways, under the guidance of Prime Minister Narendra Modi ji, has achieved notable progress in financial health, operational efficiency, and national connectivity through decisive measures that combine modernization with public service.

Key Highlights:
The decision of complete electrification has given double benefits, both environmental and financial.
⁠Energy cost has reduced, resulting in savings of around ₹5,500 crore.
Freight traffic has increased by about 400 million tonnes.
⁠⁠Employment has been provided to nearly 5.04 lakh people between 2014 and 2024, with recruitment for about 1.5 lakh more in progress.
⁠Station redevelopment is advancing, including Meerut, where heritage of the freedom movement is reflected in the design.
⁠A record budget of ₹11,486 crore has been allocated for the North Eastern states, compared to about ₹2,000 crore earlier.
⁠Indian Railways continues to extend nearly ₹60,000 crore subsidy to passengers, keeping fares affordable at about 55 percent of actual travel cost.
