Step-by-Step KTM Taillight Bracket Installation - KTM 250 350 450 500 EXC Bikes

KTM has done an amazing job at getting license plates onto their extremely capable off-road motorcycles. The EXC models from KTM are amazing bikes, but the rear tail sections of these bikes could use a little help.

The factory license plate holder is very heavy, vibrates a lot and tends to break easily. A couple full suspension compressions on your new bike or a few light get-offs and chances are your license plate will be mangled; plate holder destroyed and turn signals just might be dangling by the wires.

Noah in our KTM hard parts department saw this flaw and went to work putting together our Ocelot Taillight Bracket Kit. This kit is the perfect way to clean up the rear end of your KTM. Available for all of the 2017 KTM EXC models, this kit half the weight of the OEM plate holder, it is more robust, it vibrates less and it looks much cleaner.

Complete with a taillight bracket, running / brake light, plate holder, and all mounting hardware… this is a true bolt-on installation.

Tech Tip:
KTM EXC Taillight Wire Colors vs. Ocelot Wire Colors

O.E.M:
Yellow = Running Light
Green / White = Brake Light
Brown (Qty 2) = Ground Wire (Twist together the 1 brown wire in the brake light wire loom with the 1 brown wire in the license plate light wire loom before attaching to the Ocelot Black wire)
White = License Plate Running Light (twist together with the Yellow Running Light wire before attaching to the Ocelot Blue Running Light wire)

Ocelot Taillight Wire Colors
Blue = Running Light
Red = Brake Light
Black = Ground Wire
