HSR XN60 1822 Charter

In October of 2024, the Canadian Transit Heritage Foundation and Toronto Transportation Society chartered HSR 1822, a New Flyer XN60 from 2019 to tour historically significant locations throughout Hamilton. As 2024 marked the 150th anniversary of Hamilton Street Railway, 1822 was wrapped in a replica "TiCat" livery. Several destination signs were programmed in order to honour former routes and facilities. Attendees were treated to a visit to HSR's Mountain Garage in addition to stops around the city along old versions of routes, and at historical and future garage locations. Built in January 2019, 1822 is part of the 1820-1830 series of XN60 buses1822 is powered by a Cummins Westport L9N CNG engine with an Allison B500R transmission, and there are 52 seats including 50 4ONE Aries seats and 2 4ONE Perch seats.
