The ABAP Platform 1909 trial is now available. The ABAP Platform 1909 trial version replaces the previous ABAP Developer Edition 1909. With the ABAP Platform 1909 trial version, you can learn or try the ABAP programming language independently and free of charge. The ABAP Platform 1909 trial is available on Docker.

Work is already underway on the successor version, ABAP Platform Testversion 2022. The versions ABAP Platform Testversion 2020 and ABAP Platform Testversion 2021 will be skipped. It is planned to deliver the ABAP Platform Testversion with each new release of the ABAP Platform (version 2023, 2025 and 2027 according to the release strategy for SAP S/4HANA). It is also planned to update the ABAP Platform test version whenever a new SP update for the ABAP Platform is released.
