Video Footage Has Senator Regarding Multiple Anime as “Child Abuse”


Video footage of the speech that Senator Stirling Griff of the Centre Alliance gave to parliament pleading for the ban of anime and manga containing “child abuse material” has surfaced, with it being revealed that the senator gave examples of multiple anime that he considered problematic.

Senator Stirling Griff had tried to inform those in parliament of the “child sexual abuse” present in some manga and anime, denouncing the “lax” ratings given by the classification board to these totally harmful crime-inducing shows and demanding that they be re-reviewed and potentially banned to protect the poor impressionable children.

The entire parliamentary meeting was uploaded online (Griff’s speech was also fully transcribed), but one rather daring fan provided clips of the moments where Griff addressed different anime (the senator getting many facts immeasurably wrong, or perhaps, purposefully wrong to push his agenda) that he personally found offensive
