The FRT-1 was the very first ever production Floyd Rose bridge. It had around 10 prototypes made, and then production of this bridge was made at Fernandes/Japan factory for around six months in late 1981 or early 1982. They first appear in the Fernandes 1982 catalog and were quickly replaced by the FRT-3 in late 1982. Rumor is they were only in production for around six months.

DISCLAIMER: Many of these facts presented may not be 100% accurate due to some this history being rumors and Floyd Rose himself rarely speaks of the Pre-Schaller/Japan years.
