MITJYU - मितज्यू | Theatre Play by Mandala Theatre | feat. Buddhi Tamang, Sirjana Subba, Bijay Baral

Mitjyu is an original production of Mandala Theatre-Nepal first produced and staged in 2014. Written by Som Nath Khanal and directed by Dayahang Rai, the play is knitted in the cultural background of various ethnic communities of eastern Nepal and it tells a story from panchayat regime of Nepal in the present time through the perspective of two old friends as the story is based on experiences of two old friends where they will share their life-experiences and express their concerns for society.

Mitjyu is a word in Nepali language to address each other by two friends who befriended with a traditional ritual.

The play is supported by Civil Peace Service program of GIZ.
