We're tackling a medium-level array problem with a surprisingly simple and efficient solution. Instead of waiting to count all subarrays after finding a block of zeros, this approach uses a cumulative counting method as we iterate through the array.

The core of this solution is a 'streak' variable. Each time we find a zero, we increment the streak. The magic happens here: we then add the current streak value (count += streak) directly to our total count. Why does this work? Because a new zero in a streak of length k creates exactly k new zero-filled subarrays that end at that exact position.
