Every shirt of mine seems to have oil stains - big or small. Tested this method on a really bad one, and the stain came out completely.

Here’s what to do:
1. Place a plate inside the shirt so the stain doesn’t spread
2. Cover the stain with a layer of baking soda
3. Add dishwashing liquid on top
4. Mix both together into a paste and spread it well
5. Leave it for 10 minutes
6. Wash with water

Result: Oil stain gone. Shirt looks as good as new.
I’m using this on all my shirts now. Try it next time you spill oil.
