Dr. Aiken is a native of Atlanta and attended The Lovett School. After graduating from the University of Georgia with a degree in ecology, he earned his dental degree from the Medical College of Georgia, now Georgia Regents University, in Augusta. He then completed medical school, a general surgery internship, and his residency in Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery at the University of California, San Francisco. Dr. Aiken’s practice focuses on intra-oral surgery including tooth extractions, endodontic surgery, bone grafts, implant surgery, and oral pathology. He feels very blessed to be able to return home and care for the community of Atlanta.

Dr. Drew Shessel attended the University of Georgia for his undergraduate career and then continued on to the Medical School of South Carolina in Charleston, where he completed his Doctor of Medicine in Dentistry (DMD) degree. While there, he received a scholarship for excellence in oral and maxillofacial surgery. Before beginning his residency, he completed an OMS internship at LSU in New Orleans. Then, he moved to Florida to complete his training at the Broward Health Medical Center. While in Florida, he finished his required four-year OMS residency, during which he trained in the treatment of a wide range of oral and facial conditions. In addition, he learned the safe administration of all forms of anesthesia.

They are great about getting together to come up with a detailed treatment plan that we're both on board with. Dr. Aiken and Shessel are great. They really have a great bedside manner with patients and know how to really make them feel comfortable. When our patients comeback after having a procedure done, they're usually real happy. They always say that it wasn't nearly as bad as their fears were, and they really thanked us for sending them over to such a great team."
