Raccoon Attack

In this video, a raccoon climbs up a nest tree and takes food from it. It retreats for a few moments, then returns and gets the oldest of the two eaglets, which bravely stood up to the raccoon and tried to ward it off with outstretched wings. The eaglet was taken alive and pulled over the side of the nest as the raccoon retreated in haste when dad returned to the nest. Dad gave chase to the coon’ and for the next hour or so, an eagle is seen flying around the tree and vocalizing until after dark. Then he returns to the nest and stays with the other eaglet for the remainder of the night. The Colorado Wildlife Agency arrived within an hour after being called to search for the eaglet. They found the dead eaglet's remains and took them to be tested for avian influenza.

The night before, mom had brought a young live raccoon to the nest and fed it to the eaglets. Was this a random unrelated visit by a hungry raccoon or was it revenge? A raccoon is seen sneaking into a raven’s nest, and even when the raccoon is almost touching the raven, the bird doesn’t realize he’s there. A fight breaks out, and the raccoon eats the raven’s babies in the nest. This is the second part of the raccoon’s intrusion into the raven’s nest. The raccoon is well into his dinner by now, and the raven has abandoned the ship.

Crocodile/Alligator Hunting Birds

Watch a crocodile vs a Lappet-faced vulture bird at incredible speed, while the bird is taking a bath. All this happens shortly after a marabou stork and cape vulture appear to bully or encourage him to stay in the water, so he can provide them with the day's entertainment!
