We thought this was the only serious exploit in Seasons on console for Diablo III.

ITS NOT. YOU CAN DUPLICATE IN SEASONS!

Here is how:

You can do this local co-op or via an online buddy.

PLAYER 1 hosts...he will not be duping.
PLAYER 2 joins...he is the one duping. Wait after he joins as it saves his game in the background.

PLAYER 1 starts a Nephalem Rift.
PLAYER 1 goes into the rift...taking in PLAYER 2 if co-op...if online PLAYER 2 goes in too.

PLAYER 2 drops whatever he wants at the start of the rift that he wants to duplicate...gear, gems, crafting mats etc
PLAYER 1 goes back though the door back to town...taking PLAYER 2 with him if local co-op, PLAYER 2 goes back through the door if online

Key point now.

PLAYER 2 must sign out of PS4 account or their X1 account. When they do this the game does not save when they leave and leaves PLAYER 1 in the game.

The fact that it never saved PLAYER 2 leaving means their save still has the gear they dropped in their inventory.

PLAYER 2 simply rejoins the same hosted game that is hosted by PLAYER 1.

THe rift is still open...and sadly the gear is still there on the floor. PLAYER 2 can go and pick it up.

PLAYER 2 now has duplicates of what he dropped. All because the game kept the items on the ground when he left and it never saved him dropping the gear as he left in the first instance.
