Priests are in a unique position; spiritually, in society, and how they practice faithfulness. Priests seem to be surrounded by people but many times, given the nature of their position, it can be lonely. Spiritually, they are intensely targeted by the Devil and societally it isn't much better. Their role to their congregation is very much like my role as a husband to my wife and father to my kids. This simple question points to the filial relationship we have with our priests. Just like we would ask our biological or adopted father what they would like us to pray for, we should ask our spiritual fathers as well.
