Assam University Students Step Up Protest Against Fee Hike In Silchar

Students of Assam University have launched a protest against the recent hike in fees for undergraduate, postgraduate, and integrated courses. From early morning today, members of the Assam University Students’ Union, Akhil Bharatiya Vidyarthi Parishad AU unit and students from various departments gathered in front of the university gate, raising slogans against the university administration.

As part of the protest, the students also blocked faculty members from entering the university premises, demanding immediate action against the fee hike.
