Every now and then, you'll have to run your expresso machine through a cleaning cycle by using cleaning tablets. In this video, I'll show you step by step how to clean your expresso machine. The expresso machine I'm using in this video is from Breville but the precedure is very similar in other expresso machines. When the blue light illuminates on the expresso machine then it means you got to start cleaning cycle.

Steps to start the cleaning cycle are
Step 1 - Make sure Water Reservoir is filled at least 1 Litre of water.
Step 2 - Empty the drip tray.
Step 3 - Remove the cleaning disc and then place the drip tray.
Step 4 - Insert the two cup filter basket & cleaning disc into the group handle.
Step 5 - Place the cleaning tablet in the middle of the cleaning disc.
Step 6 - Insert the group handle into the group head.
Step 7 - Start the cleaning cycle by holding the ON/OFF and Manual Shot buttons for 4 seconds.
Different brands might use a different combinations to start the cycle.
Step 8 - Remove the group handle and check if the cleaning tablet is completely dissolved.
If the cleaning tablet is not completely dissolved then run the cleaning cycle one more time. Make sure to empty the drip tray and refill the water reservoir (if needed) prior to starting the cleaning cycle again.
Step 9 - Empty the drip tray and purge the group head.
Step 10 - Wash the group handle, two cup filter basket and cleaning disc in warm water with a mild detergent, rinse and dry.
