This is a short film made for this year's Dementia Awareness Week.

It tells the story of living with dementia, or at least one side of the decline, in around 30 seconds. What makes this so poignant is that it tells the story of our mother, Gillian, who in her early fifties was dealt the blow of an early onset dementia diagnosis. Each day we lose her bit by bit, which makes us cherish her lovely laugh or obscure insights all the more. It is so sad that she no longer recognises many of the pictures in the advert, I think she would have been very moved by it, even a year or so ago.

If you know Gillian, or someone with dementia, or maybe someone affected by it, please share this short film and perhaps share your thoughts, knowledge, or experiences of the disease, to help raise awareness and funds over the next week.
