Jones LWB Bike Review

Whether you're talking about the LWB or the SWB, Jones Bikes have a cult following. It seems that most of the people who buy one end up loving it and keeping it for years or even as their elusive "forever bike". Despite my desire for one, the mythical design has always made me wonder what I'd use it for, if I'd like it, and even how it'd fit. When you frequently read about how "different" the riding position is, you start to question whether or not you should drop $2k+ on something so out there.

This fall, Jones Bikes graciously sent me a LWB V3 with their "knobby" tires and Magura hydraulic disc brakes to test out. After a couple of months, many miles on a variety of trails, and even 3 different tire sizes, it's time to go over what I think of this unique bike.
