Presenting a Compilation of how the Diesel Locomotive links of Karnataka Express have changed over the years can be seen in this video.

Up until Early 2013, Karnataka Express was hauled by ET WDM3A/3D twins; since the loco change used to happen in Itarsi Jn. This link had become the signature of Karnataka Express.

Soon after; the loco change started happening in Manmad Jn.; while the Electric loco was shared with Jhelum Express, the Diesel loco was brought in from Moula Ali shed (MLY) as a part of an ensemble LSA.

This same LSA was later shifted to Guntakal (GTL) Shed; and the 12628 Karnataka Express was given a D to D loco change in Guntakal Jn.; to provide a fresh set of twins to start a new cycle.

Once the Pune Daund Stretch was electrified; the Loco change started happening in Daund Jn.; and the timings was altered accordingly. Pune shed was supplying the D loco links now and LSA was with Udyan Express.

For a brief period starting from May 1; Karnataka Express was hauled by E Loco from Wadi and KSR Bengaluru. But however; due to operational reasons, this arrangement has been put on hold as of now.

Hence; this video is taking viewers on a journey tracing the D loco links back to the ET twins. So sit back and enjoy the diesel show folks. Lets cherish them till they last.
