First off, I wanna give a gargantuan thanks to the homie FIBRE for mixing and mastering this record, as well as serving as a teacher to me. To say I was thrilled to work with such a skilled audio engineer and a master of production such as him is one hell of an understatement. Without FIBRE's help and all the advice he has given me, this record could have been nothing but a derelict. And that very same amount of praise I give to FIBRE also goes to none other than my bro Trent Bullock for the amazing job he did on the cover; so detailed and captures that classic Future Funk image that replicates that nostalgic 80s and 90s anime era (as well as my indescribable love for watermelon).

My goal was to create a record that complimented the early Future Funk classics from the likes of Macross 82-99, Night Tempo, and Aloe Island Posse, as well as the freshly evolved melodies of the genre by Barbwalters, ev.exi, Tupperwave, and Vantage. It wasn't just to make some songs that had a good groove to it, but also to provide some to give the listener some tunes that were eligible for a nice chill-out session. And man, oh man, it feels as though that goal has been achieved! There's going to be more from Daydream Deluxe, and I have no idea what direction is going to be taken next. Maybe there'll be some more sample chopping Future Funk to pump out, or perhaps some good old downtempo cuts of that traditional Vaporwave sound. Who knows what'll happen next?

That being said, I want to finally give a humongous, personal thanks to each and every one of my friends and family, and everyone in the Vaporwave community that I've gotten to know. I'd list you all individually, but there are far too many names, and I don't want anyone to feel like they've been excluded. Nonetheless, I'm super appreciative of your support and every ounce of feedback you've given (whether positive or negative) during the process of this record!
