While we were going to rehearse with the band (it was the period 2001/2002) we were all shocked by listening in the car stereo to Calculating Infinity, not being able to understand not only how one could technically play stuff like that, but also how it was possible to pull this music out of the hat. Like it or not The Dillinger Escape Plan were innovators and Chris Pennie is a drummer who in the years, following his departure from the band in search of other experiences, has fallen by the wayside.
