This is my 4th season with this Intex above ground pool, and I wanted to share what has worked for me to keep it clean and clear all summer long!

Two years ago, I switch from a traditional pool setup to a saltwater system as it was more challenging to keep the chlorine levels consistent. The Saltwater system uses the low levels of salt in the water and converts it to chlorine. This method has reduced the workload for me and keeps a constant chlorine level in my pool. The results were truly amazing! Here are my 3 steps to improve the water quality and enjoyment of your pool this summer!
Step 1, convert your pool to Saltwater. Use the Intex pool size guide to determine which size system you need for your pool. Salt water can cause premature corrosion on metal surfaces so make sure you keep this in mind when switching.
Step 2, add the Intex pool skimmer to collect and remove top water debris.
Step 3, use the Bubot pool vacuum a few times per week to keep the bottom clean and clear.
Optional step 4, if you plan to go on vacation or do not plan to use your pool for more than a week or two, purchase a cover to keep debris from entering the pool. I almost never use this cover but under the right circumstances, it makes sense to have one!
