'Shuk sagar' is one of the biggest pond of Dinajpur excavated by the Raja 'Shukdeb Roy' nearly 350 years ago. It is very near to the Rajbari of Dinajpur and is also a very nice tourist spot. Its area is 25 acres. By the side of the great lake 'Shuk sagar' there are forest areas also; hence it is a very good picnic spot as well. The fisheries department looks after the pond while the forest department looks after the forest part of this beautiful tourist spot. The natural beauty of 'Shuk sagar' is excellent. Depending on the different seasons of Bangladesh the natural beauty of 'Shuk sagar' varies.This tourist spot cum park speaks the untold story of Dinajpur Rajas.
