Youtube algorithm is what is responsible for video ranking. Youtube is continuously updating its algorithm with two main motives. First to promote or showcase right video to the right viewer and to make more viewers spend more time on the platform.

As the algorithm is continuously updating what was important earlier may not be important today. In this video i have discussed some of the recent changes that has been done in Youtube Algorithm.

One of the important aspect is understanding short and long click. When a video is watched less than 8 seconds it is considered as short click and youtube algorithm understand it as the content is not useful for the viewer. As such algorithm will not promote such videos to the viewer in the future.

On the contrary, if a video is watched more than 2 minutes after the click, such a click is called long click and youtube algorithm understand that the viewer is interested in the content and as such such videos will be promoted to the viewer in the future.
