A proud moment for the entire Epic Public School family! 🌟
Our brilliant young innovators Korak Maitra (Class 8), Bedoparna Deb (Class 8) and Parnika Dutta (Class 7) have developed an extraordinary project — a low-cost windmill for village homes, designed to generate electricity using renewable energy.

What started as a project for the Macmillan Budding Scientists Competition has now been selected as a Finalist at IIT Guwahati! 🎉🚀

Inspired by compassion and driven by real-life challenges, our students identified a pressing issue while volunteering in Mendabari — a remote village in the dense forest of Jaldapara, where many families have little to no access to electricity. Children struggle to study after dark.

Motivated to create change, they designed an efficient windmill using the Archimedes Spiral, capable of rotating even in low wind and capturing air from multiple directions. They learned new skills, worked with plywood, polycarbonate sheets, and precise engineering techniques to build a strong, waterproof, and portable structure.

Their mission is clear:
To install multiple low-cost windmills in Mendabari so that children there can study at night and dream without limits. 🌙💡
