An explosive report on the Avdiivka battle has been published by The New York Times. A report claims Russian forces have captured up to 1,000 Ukrainian troops in Avdiivka. “Chaotic” nature of Kyiv's retreat contributed to the high numbers, the report said. Speaking to the newspaper, Ukrainian and U.S. officials said that the Avdiivka defeat is a big blow to the already weakening morale of Kyiv's forces. Experts fear if the POWs switch sides, it could be disastrous for the Ukrainian Army in their fight against Russia.
