Recipe: How to Make Wine Cookies (Turdilli)

Whole Recipe:
2 cups of Moscatelli/Marsala/Sherry Wine
1 cup of oil
½ cup sugar
7 cups of flour
3 tablespoons of cinnamon
1 ½ tsp. baking powder
2 tsp. vanilla
1 tsp. salt
3 lb. Jar of honey
Sprinkles

Half Recipe:
1 cup of Moscatelli/Marsala/Sherry Wine
1/2 cup of oil
1/4 cup sugar
3 - 1/2 cups of flour
1 1/2 tablespoons of cinnamon
1 tsp. baking powder
1 tsp. vanilla
1/2 tsp. salt
Small jar of honey
Sprinkles

Heat Wine and oil (not too hot) little of the cinnamon. Mix flour, salt, sugar and cinnamon in food processor and pulse. Add vanilla and wine/oil combo. Mix until well blended and starts to form a ball. Let set for 20-30 minutes. Cut into 4-6 pieces. Roll each piece into long rope and cut into half inch pieces (they will grow when you fry them). Roll each piece on big side of cheese grater or similar. Fry 8 minutes or until golden brown. Remove with sieve. Place on paper towel to remove excess oil. Heat honey and place a few at a time into pot. Place in dish and put sprinkles on top.
