This has created an opening for France and the U.S.

France: A growing defense ally, supplying Rafale jets, Scorpene submarines, and technology transfers. The Rafale-M deal is now close to finalization, reinforcing France’s role in India’s defense modernization.

U.S.: A strong alternative in intelligence sharing, missile defense, and Indo-Pacific joint exercises. However, India remains skeptical of U.S. fighter jet deals, given Washington’s stringent terms on inspections and operational restrictions.

The Big Question: Will India tilt towards France, deepen ties with the U.S., or continue its delicate balance between multiple partners?
