The Control Tab is where you will tell the workbook what you need to tailor it to your business. It gives you a lot of flexibility for what you want to track and measure

Column D: Other Expenses This column allows you to add up to 10 categories in the Other Costs Section of the Profit Summary tab. Try to make categories fairly broad and expenses that you incur frequently. You can always create a Miscellaneous Expense categories. When You create a new Expense category it will automatically appear in the Other Costs Section on the Profit Summary Tab. This leads us to the next step which is…

Column J: Expense Type This is a necessary Step 2 to adding expenses. When you add an expense in Column D (which add the tracking to Profit Summary) you will also need to add the same Expense type to here in Column J. That allows you to select the expense as a drop down over on the Expenses tab in Column F. Long story short...any expense type you add to Other Expenses you will also need to add it to Column J as an Expense Type

Column H: Platform Manually enter any platform you wish to sell on. If the platform charges selling fees and you wish to track those fees individually each month you will also need to enter the platform name followed by the word ‘fees’ in column J. This will create a fees entry over on Profit Summary tab and allow you to choose that platform’s fees as choice on the dropdown on the Expense tab

Column L: Locations This column is where you will need to enter the names you have given to your inventory locations. This could be very simple such as ‘Shelf 1’ Shelf 2...or more complex such AX325Q. Totally up to you just enter all these when you first set up the sheet and you can add others as you go. After setting these up you can go over to the Locations tab, Column B. Each cell will have a drop down where you can select the Location from the list you just created.
