Dornier 328 JET – Takeoff from Bern

The Dornier 328 JET OY-NCP is seen taking-off from Bern in Switzerland bound for Liverpool. Sun-Air of Scandinavia carries the British Airways livery.

The Dornier D328jet is a medium-range, twin-engine jet manufactured by Dornier Aircraft Corporation. First flown in 1998, the aircraft was produced until 2002. A total of number of110 D328jet were delivered during the production run.

The D328jet is powered by two Pratt & Whitney Canada PW306B engines with 6,000 lbf thrust each. The Dornier 328 has a maximum speed of 750 km/h / 400 kn. The range is 2,740 km / 1,700 mi. The service ceiling is 11,000 m / 35,000 ft. The cabin can accommodate up to 32 passengers in a 2-2 layout. The D328jet can be operated from short and even unprepared runways, allowing operators to use small airfields.
