Frisco 1522 Stack Talk

Описание к видео Frisco 1522 Stack Talk

This video showcases the Frisco 1522, a 4-8-2 'Mountain Type' Steam Locomotive built in 1926 by the Baldwin Locomotive Works of Philadelphia for service on the St. Louis - San Francisco (FRISCO) Railway. The occasion was an excursion route of the First Subdivision of Springfield Division of the Burlington Northern Railroad from St. Louis to Newburg, Missouri, sponsored by the National Railway Historical Society on Saturday, June 16, 1990. The locomotive and passenger train was filmed heading west to Newburg through Rolla from the 10th Street overpass and again on its return east up the 1.2% Rolla Hill from a vantage point west of the old wooden bridge that crosses the tracks near the Phelps County Courthouse. The trip up Rolla Hill was a memorable challenge for the 1522 hence the title of the video: “Frisco 1522 Stack Talk”
