They thought their dreams would come to an end together with other children of their age with the same ‘profession’.

They told me their feelings upon the limitations that exists in their lives will never take their journey in this world further, especially they are aware of their family status which has always remained stagnant.

Then I asked about the ‘silver’ or ‘bronze’ they would mention, on their bodies that has always made me wonder. The mixture of silver powder which costs Rp. 25,000 bought from material store and vegetable oil is smeared all over the face, body, hair, until surfaces of clothing and any belongings they carry (like plastic bags, coin bowls, etc). Diana and Fitri said it was not painful.. perhaps for now.

Most importantly, they do this to help support their families to pay monthly rent and provide food daily on their ‘dining floor’.

I hope Diana and Fitri enjoyed our chat as much as I did! May God give justice and prosperity to children and people not only in Indonesia, but all over the world.. Amen ❤️
