The Germans took control of all of Europe except Britain, starting with the invasion of France.

As the British retreated most of the army from Dunkirk, the Germans rushed to prepare for an attack on the British mainland.

But still, the British Navy was strong, and the German Navy's landing fleet was poor.

So German Air Force Commander Hermann Göring was pushing for the defeat of the Royal Navy through the Air Force.

The British responded with 2000 aircraft and the latest radar against an attack of 2500 German aircraft that began on 10 July 1940 over a three-month period.

Germany abandoned its invasion of Britain after a great battle, with 3000 aircraft destroyed, 4000 soldiers and 55,000 civilians killed.

Britain, which was saved by the victory of this battle, then became an outpost for European liberation through the Normandy landings.
