Inside Fossil Free Zones is welcomed to La Bruguera de Púbol by Mike Duff, Michelle Wilson and their daughter Frances Duff for a tour of their unique eco-retreat centre in Girona (Cataluña, Spain). La Bruguera runs on renewable energy (with 90% of its energy being produced on-site) and offers homegrown and homemade food and chemical-free living. “We are now putting this at the forefront to emphasise the necessity of living and holidaying whilst actively minimising our impact on the environment”, says Mike. “We are wanting to help visitors make changes in their lives to a fossil free lifestyle, and help them see that we, as a species, need to adjust our definition of abundance, to one more in balance with nature.”

La Bruguera’s guesthouse has been awarded the Fossil Free Zone status whilst its overall property is a Fossil Free Zone in Transition.
