Forestalling the teachers strike

Labour and Social Protection Cabinet Secretary Dr. Alfred Mutua, has met with the Kenya National Union of Teachers on the implementation of the 2021 Collective Bargaining Agreement to try and avert teachers' strike before schools resume in two weeks. The CS reiterated the need to always have industrial harmony and to have continued engagement in the labour sector to avoid strikes which only add to lower productivity in the country.
