"Each of those organisations is trying to do something a little bit different. They're trying to differentiate their product from the competitions, because if you can create a differentiated product from the competition, you stand a chance of gaining competitive advantage.

And then you can start winning races and win the championship, and then you get a bigger share of prize money and then you get more sponsorship and your company's bottom line improves. And so winning on a Sunday means success for the business Monday to Friday, 52 weeks of the year."
