Africa and Europe are under 10 miles apart, but there's no chance of a bride ever being built between the two neighboring countries. Check out why it would be impossible to connect Europe and Africa but not for the reason you think!

আমাদের এই পৃথিবীটা সাতটি মহাদেশ নিয়ে গঠিত। মহাদেশগুলো হলো এশিয়া, আফ্রিকা, উত্তর আমেরিকা, দক্ষিন আমেরিকা, ইউরোপ, অস্ট্রেলিয়া এবং আন্টার্কটিকা। এদের মধ্যে এশিয়া, আফ্রিকা, ইউরোপের সীমানা একসাথে ভূমির সাথে সংযুক্ত হয়ে একটি বড় মহাদেশ অ্যাফ্রোইউরেশিয়া গঠন করেছে। এই স্থলভাগটি হল বিশ্বের মোট স্থলভাগের ৫৭ শতাংশ এবং বিশ্বের মোট জনসংখ্যার ৮৫ শতাংশ এখানেই বসবাস করে। আফ্রিকা ও ইউরোপের সবচেয়ে কাছাকাছি অংশের দূরত্ব মাত্র ১৪ কিলোমিটার কিন্তু তাও আফ্রিকা ও ইউরোপের মধ্যে সরাসরি কোন যোগাযোগ নেই। বিশ্বের সবচেয়ে লম্বা টানেল ১৬৪ কিলোমিটার লম্বা যা চীনের দানিয়াং ও কুনশাং প্রদেশকে সংযুক্ত করেছে। ইংলিশ চ্যানেলে ইংল্যান্ড ও ফ্রান্সকে সংযুক্ত করা জলের নীচে টানেলের দৈর্ঘ্যও ৫১ কিলোমিটার। তাহলে জিব্রাল্টার প্রনালীতে আফ্রিকা ও ইউরোপের মধ্যে ১৪ কিলোমিটার এই দূরত্বকে কেন কোন সেতু বা জলের নীচে থাকা টানেলের মাধ্যমে সংযুক্ত করা হয়নি? অতীতে কী কোন পদক্ষেপ নেওয়া হয়েছিল এই দূরত্বকে সংযুক্ত করার!!
