Mega Man Zero (No Damage) - Guard Orotic [Occupy Factory ~ S Rank / 100 pts]

Описание к видео Mega Man Zero (No Damage) - Guard Orotic [Occupy Factory ~ S Rank / 100 pts]

Project: Megaman Zero, where I attempt to perfect the entire game with No Damage and a 100 point S rank at the end of each stage. One of the major goals here is to give light to Zero's overall arsenal instead of just relying on one or two.

I've got all my relevant Mega Man videos organized in playlists on the front of my channel page. It's ever-growing, but you'll see more than just Megaman Zero in the future. Thanks for dropping by.

Guard Orotic is a weird boss that has no business having Guardian level HP, but not a hard boss nonetheless.

-Stage Overview:

Stage itself is self-explanatory, but let me tell you the one thing that absolutely made this stage a little more annoying than it should have been: those friggin' spiders. Not only do they crawl faster than they did in the intro stage, but the spiders can be randomly positioned in their spawn area, meaning they won't always be in the same spot when you reach their area of encounter. They could either be crawling on an adjacent wall or be running upside down on the ceiling. The spiders at the start aren't the problem, but the two before the descending platform segment and the one right before the ladder that leads to the final corridor are just stupid with this. These spiders are always positioned on the ceiling, but their exact location on the ceiling's unknown because they're too far up to see. You'll only know where they are when they hang down... and since they also hang down faster than the intro stage spiders, it makes reacting to them unnecessarily difficult.

So I had to literally play it safe for both instances. First spiders, I walk just enough to spawn them, but away from their drop range just to see where they are (because at least you can see them on the ceiling. Just that if they spawn DIRECTLY at the dividing line where you're in range, you're in a bad spot) and react accordingly stress-free. The last spider... well, I just had to hope he didn't spawn above me and had a charge slash ready in case he surprised me.

-Boss Overview:

Guard Orotic (another... suggestive name there, btw) is just one of those bosses where you just don't want to drag it out longer than it should be. Not only does it not do anything else but shown here, they gave this thing three levels of HP like the Guardians... what. So uncharged hacking and slashing at this thing with the Saber/Rod just takes forever... and this mission in particular has somewhat of a strict clear time requirement for the full 20 pts, so fighting this thing without charged attacks is unwise. But it's no real biggie because Guard Orotic follows very linear patterns and never stray from them. This is where the charged Z-Buster really shines, for while it's damage output is only about 2 damage weaker than the charged Z-Saber, you can set yourself in a position where you won't risk being up too close to Orotic while it's firing it's multi-shots (which are actually quite irritating to dodge close range). It's also good for the phases where he ejects the two dragon heads. The eye's exposed when they're out, so carefully timed charged shots can get you a maximum of two extra hits off it while being completely safe in the corner.

Overall Difficulty: 4/10 (because I thought spiders were my friends. Top 10 Anime Betrayals...)
