I'M BACK, BABY!

This video took a lot longer to make than I initially thought, but I am proud that I followed through and finally finished it.

I've been passionate about the topic of this video for years. I didn't always attribute it to "Tumblr activists" (a more accurate term is "Fandom Puritans" since this also happens on other sites). I'm balls-deep in the My Hero Academia fandom, as you've probably guessed, and I've run into a disgusting number of Fandom Puritans. It makes my blood boil whenever I see stuff like this in any fandom.

I finally got fed up and wrote my original draft of this script, intending to post it to my The Angry Librarian blog. But I had to face the sad truth: if I left it on my blog, it would never make an impact. It wouldn't get near the exposure it needed if my goal was truly to spread a persuasive message.

So I was faced with the challenge of finally finding a way to push past my fears and insecurities surrounding YouTube and record my script. I flubbed up in a couple places that ended up in the final audio, but overall, I had a BLAST recording this. Not only that, but I was able to do it knowing my husband was in the other room and could possibly hear me (I have stage fright).

This boosted my confidence immensely, and at some point I decided to draw a completely new set of expressions for my channel, and then I came up with so many new video ideas, complete with unfinished scripts. So if I'm going to do all this work for one video, I might as well continue on and make the rest of the videos I want to make.

Yes, they will likely take a long time to come out because I work a full time job, I'm starting college soon, and I can only focus on one thing at a time. But I will try my absolute hardest to get more videos made. I have a LOT to say about a lot of things, and if I want to be heard, this is the way to do it.

Also, a note about the title of the video. I understand that the behavior showcased in the video is not exclusive to Tumblr, and do me a favor and leave your "anti-sjw" comments at home. Calling it "Tumblr" activism is meant to call it a fake brand of attempted activism, and even though people with those attitudes may move on to other sites, the mindset remains associated with Tumblr in my head, because I kinda lived there for awhile until The Purge. Now I live on Twitter, and it's just as bad on there.
