In this first collab video with ‪@poh‬ we bring to you the details of what a TYPE RATING is and the related details that you need to know.

In a CPL course in the flight school, a pilot learns basic hand flying skills on small trainer aircrafts like a C172. This will help the pilots learns and understand the physics and dynamics of how the plane flies and the limits of a fixed wing aircraft.

Type rating on the other hand is a (usually) 30 to 45 days course where the pilot learns to fly a particular "TYPE" of aircraft, usually a bigger, faster, complex aircraft with more buttons and switches in the cockpit and much more complex procedures.
