Microsoldering on Water Damaged iPhone X - Data Recovery Motherboard Repair

In this video I have a pretty standard case of water damage and I show my approach to diagnosing and repairing the needed components in order to pull all the data off of it. The corrosion in this case was fairly mild and the bottom half of the top board didn't need any work whatsoever. CPU swaps are not needed in 99 percent of water damage data recovery jobs, and are usually only necessary if you cannot solve the problems on the board. That is because the CPU will almost never take damage from water and the safer approach is to not heat it.
