Saving files in Microsoft Word 2010 is generally an easy, straight forward process. But there are times when you need more save file options, and many of those options are outlined in this video tutorial.

For example, you can:

Set the Authors and Tags for the file (metadata for search and tracking);
Save a thumbnail of the first page with the document;
Save the file as a different type;
Map a Network Drive;
Set Autorecover time and file location;
Set the Default file location;
Embed fonts in the file;
Set a password to open the file;
Set a password to modify (edit) the file;
Set the file as Read-only;
Set the Macro Security level;
Set options for Web Documents (Browsers, Files, Pictures, Encoding, Fonts);
Compress Pictures;
