Lyrics:
Upon yon hill, where Keep doth stand,
A star fell bright upon the land.
“God’s wrath or gift?” the good folk cried,
As lights unearthly split the tide.
Anon from yonder blazing sphere,
Strange shapes emerged with tools austere.

“Our sins they judge!” the Abbot wept,
Yet o'er the walls these strangers leapt.

With thunder loud and beams of fire,
The castle’s walls grew grim and dire.
The knights took helm, the peasants fled,
Yet many brave lay cold and dead.
Sir Aldwyn bold, with heart so fierce,
Declared, “These fiends we shall pierce!

Not gods nor devils walk this land,
But beasts of flesh—so raise thy hand!”

By cunning wits and courage stout,
The knights did form a daring bout.
A mirrored shield, a shadowed lane,
Did turn their beams to strike again.
With axe and lance, they pressed their might,
Until the foe did yield to flight.

Thus trapped within the dungeons cold,
These creatures strange, their fate was told.

Now on the roads, a sight so rare:
A circus strange beyond compare.
The knights did jest, the peasants cheer,
To see the fiends once held in fear.
"Behold the beasts from yonder star!
Their strength laid low, their doom bizarre.”

Thus sung the bard in market square,
Of knights who triumphed bold and fair.
