Hi future Physician Assistants! ⚕️

I want to start by saying that I took some time from uploading last week due to the recent events surround George Floyd’s death and the Black Lives Matter Movement. I felt as though uploading a video unrelated to the recent events would be distracting from important discourse that needed (and still needs) to be had. As a future healthcare provider who upholds and values human life, I recognize that I have a responsibility to do my part in shaping the future of medicine. This will be something I look to include more in my efforts towards the Pre-PA community and as a soon-to-be PA student myself. I would encourage each one of you to do the same, and feel free to reach me on instagram with any book recommendations or perspectives that will help me become a more well rounded and culturally competent medical provider. Wishing each of you the best during this time ♡

With that said, I am glad to be back this week with a video on what to do after you submit your PA school application. This is by far one of the trickier things to navigate during the CASPA application cycle, and in this week’s video I break down what I did during the time between hitting the submit button and attending my first PA school interview. Topics include how to make sure your CASPA application was received properly, how to update PA schools on your application, preparing for PA school interview, and how to compartmentalize the stress that is associated with the application process. I hope this sheds some light on the various ways you can utilize this time productively. Grab a cup of coffee and get comfortable, this is a long one. :)
