EJ Caswell | Get It Right

This video wasn't planned. At all. My plan was to first finish an HSMTMTS multicouples vid, then a Gina vid, and then an EJ vid. Not to mention all the non-HSMTMTS vids that I'm prioritising. In fact, before Bea brought up this song for EJ this Saturday evening, I hadn't even thought of this song for him. But as soon as she put that thought into my head, I couldn't let it go. The idea was to just start the project on Sunday and put a few clips in it, but I ended up finishing this whole vid in a few hours. I guess that's what having a new favourite character will do to me.

If you follow me on Tumblr, you already know how much I love EJ's arc. This entire show is incredibly well written, but there's just something about EJ's arc that resonates with me so deeply. I love how he's always striving to be better and more authentic, and that even if he doesn't get it right the first time, he never stops trying. His developing interest in filmmaking is also something that's so deeply personal to me, and I love how he's using that to connect more deeply to the people around him. Because at the end of the day, the most important lesson he learned is that happiness is about other people. He's just such a beautiful and well written character, and I couldn't be more grateful to the writers and Matt Cornett for bringing him to life.
