Home Minister Om Prakash Aryal has warned that strict action will be taken against anyone attempting to disrupt peace and security during the election period.

During a meeting with officials of the Election Commission, the Home Minister stated that the government is fully committed to ensuring a fear-free environment for elections. The discussion, held on Thursday at the Election Commission, included Acting Chief Election Commissioner Ram Prasad Bhandari and focused on election security and overall administrative preparedness.

Minister Aryal emphasized that strengthening election security and creating a safe environment is a top priority of the government. He added that reliable security arrangements have been made for voters, political parties, candidates, election staff, security personnel, and all stakeholders. The Ministry of Home Affairs is working in coordination with the election schedule to implement a comprehensive security plan.

He also informed that local administrations and security chiefs have been instructed to adopt a zero-tolerance policy toward criminal and anti-election activities.
